2026. On June 12, the Ronald McDonald House in Latvia held a charity golf tournament at the Jūrmala Golf Club & Hotel, during which 28,930 euros were raised to support the “Children’s Health Bus” program.
The event brought together golfers, business leaders, supporters of the organisation, and friends, who joined forces in a charitable initiative to help children throughout Latvia receive the necessary healthcare closer to where they live.
The tournament was held in collaboration with its general partner, BluOr Bank, while the involvement and support of Latvian hockey player Kaspars Daugaviņš gave the event special significance. Kaspars has long supported the mission of Ronald McDonald House Latvia and was also actively involved in organising this year’s charity golf tournament.
During the evening, a charity auction and raffle were held, giving participants the chance to win both unique sports memorabilia and valuable prizes provided by our partners.
Several special items were offered at the auction:
- Roberta Krūzberga’s bronze medal-winning short track helmet from the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics;
- Elvja Merzļikina’s skate from the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics;
- Oliver Mūrnieks’ helmet from his debut at the 2026 World Hockey Championship;
- Alberta Šmita’s hockey gloves from the 2026 World Hockey Championship;
- Elīna Ieva Bota’s gloves from her silver medal win at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics;
- Dāvis Bertāns’ basketball shoes from the EuroBasket 2025 European Basketball Championship;
- Daira Bertāns’ basketball shoes from his last professional game;
- A hockey jersey signed by Kaspars Daugaviņš;
- Hockey sticks signed by the captains of three Olympic teams (Daugaviņš, Landeskūgs, Crosby);
- A chance to spend a day behind the scenes with the Latvian national hockey team.
Fundraising efforts were also supplemented by a charity raffle, in which participants had the chance to win various prizes and surprises provided by partners.
