From June 16 to July 16, McDonald’s restaurants across Latvia are hosting a charity campaign “McHappy Day,” during which everyone has the opportunity to help children receive the healthcare they need closer to home.
The funds raised during the McHappy Day campaign will be donated to the Ronald McDonald Māja Latvijā “Children’s Care Mobile” program, which provides free consultations with medical specialists to children in Latvia’s regions. The program helps families for whom timely access to healthcare would otherwise be difficult due to distance, lack of access to specialists, or other circumstances.
In the first five months of this year, the “Children’s Care Mobile” has already provided more than 2,100 consultations to children throughout Latvia, confirming that the demand for high-quality and accessible healthcare services remains very high.
Over the past 16 years, the program has provided more than 71,200 free consultations with medical specialists, helping thousands of children receive the care they need promptly. Every donation helps us continue this work and bring healthcare to where it is needed most.
How can you participate during McHappy Day?
Round up your purchase amount at McDonald’s restaurants
For the first time in Latvia, McDonald’s restaurants have introduced the option to round up your purchase amount. When placing an order at the register or at a self-service kiosk, you can round up your total to the nearest euro and donate the difference to support children’s health.
Use the McDonald’s app
On the McDonald’s mobile app, you can redeem 300 loyalty points for a medium order of fries. For each order, 0.50 EUR will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Latvia.
Choose a Happy Meal
McDonald’s will donate 0.05 EUR from every Happy Meal sold to support the creation of a new vehicle for the “Children’s Care Mobile” program.

Last year, thanks to the generosity of McDonald’s Latvia customers during the McHappy Day campaign, more than 120,878 EUR was raised, which helped provide 2,418 medical consultations for children throughout Latvia.
