2026. On May 15, our organisation in Latvia officially changed its name from Ronald McDonald House Charities Latvia to Ronald McDonald Māja Latvijā.
This rebranding took place at the same time as the name change of the global Ronald McDonald House organisation. As part of these changes, the organisation’s new name is being adapted and translated into the local language in each country, while maintaining a unified international identity.
Although our name and visual identity have changed, the essence of our work and our values remain the same. We continue to work to ensure that children in Latvia have access to timely, high-quality healthcare, regardless of where they live or their families’ financial circumstances.
Our work is based on care, accessibility, collaboration, and support for families. We believe that healthcare for children should be accessible closer to home and that no child should be denied necessary healthcare due to distance or a lack of specialists.
The main program of Ronald McDonald Māja Latvijā is the “Children’s Care Mobile,” through which we travel throughout Latvia in collaboration with doctors and specialists from the Children’s Clinical University Hospital. As part of the program, children are provided with free consultations with medical specialists closer to their homes, helping families receive the necessary healthcare promptly.
The new name is part of our growth and our unified international identity, but our mission remains the same: to help children in Latvia receive the healthcare they need promptly and closer to home.
