Thanks to the generosity of Rimi customers, more than 12,000 euros have been donated to children’s healthcare
The donation campaign organised by Rimi and the Ronald McDonald House in Latvia to support the “Children’s Health Bus” program has come to a close. Thanks to the generosity of Rimi customers, a total of 12,486.16 euros was raised during the campaign, which will help provide free specialist consultations for children in Latvia’s regions.
Of the total amount, 9,962.52 euros were donated through donation boxes at Rimi stores, while 2,523.64 euros were donated from the savings balances on customers’ Mans Rimi cards. All donated funds will be used to support the “Children’s Health Bus” program, so that children can continue to receive the necessary consultations from medical specialists closer to where they live.
For many families in Latvia, seeing a doctor remains a challenge. This is due to both the distance to medical facilities and the availability of specialists. That is precisely why the “Children’s Health Bus” has been traveling to children throughout Latvia for more than 16 years, providing consultations with doctors of various specialties and helping to detect and treat health problems in a timely manner.
2025. In that year, the “Children’s Health Bus” made 114 trips to 60 locations throughout Latvia, providing 5,191 health care consultations to 4,032 children. Since the program’s inception, more than 70,000 consultations with medical specialists have been provided, giving thousands of children the opportunity to receive quality healthcare regardless of where they live.
A heartfelt thank you to every Rimi customer who participated in the campaign and chose to donate. Every donation helps ensure that children throughout Latvia have more accessible, timely, and closer-to-home healthcare.
